ABOUT WEST END AMBULANCE
West End Ambulance was formed in 1955. The purpose of West End Ambulance Association Inc. is to furnish ambulance service, emergency and non-emergency, to its members and to other persons in need of its services in the state of Pennsylvania, Monroe County. Our coverage area is within the townships of Chestnuthill, Eldred, Hamilton, Polk, Ross as well as portions of Jackson and Tunkhannock as needed.
Our station is located in Effort Pennsylvania, which is in Monroe County. The business office is located on the station premises. The business hours are 9:00 am to 5:00pm. Presently our staff consists entirely of volunteers that run six (6) hour shifts. Most members are licensed EMT-B's or First Responders. We provide coverage to all area hospitals. We respond to approximately 2000 calls annually.
We are actively seeking volunteers at all levels. Please refer here for additional volunteer information.

Attention all active running members, we have brought our Pulse Point System on line. All active running members can now check the current status and review their past Pulse Point history. Click here to enter the Web Based Pulse Point System. You must register prior to gaining any access to your records. The system is fairly easy to use, however a User Manual is available here.
